Best Travel Prams - Lightweight Strollers That Are Quick to Fold and Easy to Operate
The lightweight strollers should be easy to fold and operate. The best travel strollers also fold down compactly to fit in overhead bins as well as smaller car boot spaces. They also accommodate a car seat for an infant.
The BabyZen Yoyo2 has become the pram of many parents who are on the move due to its light design that is gate-check-friendly as well as its
compact travel pram folding. It has a great turning radius and a nearly flat recline.
UPPAbaby G-Luxe
With a reputation for innovatively designed products that are stylish and feature-packed, the UPPAbaby G-Luxe is an excellent choice for parents who wish to travel. The stroller is incredibly light and folds to an extremely compact size for transport. The stroller also comes with an front wheel lock to keep it stable while in use and a fixed canopy for adequate protection against the sun. It is easy to maneuver and has a large storage basket.
The G-Luxe, unlike the more expensive models in the UPPAbaby range, is quite affordable. It also comes with a few additional features like a cup for parents, a for storage, and raincover. It also comes with a convenient brake system that is one step with handles that are tall to make it easier for parents of all sizes to push, and a user-friendly hand-level folding mechanism that makes it simple to store the stroller.
The UPPAbaby G-Luxe features an updated robust frame that mimics the VISTA & CRUZ strollers. It also has a new, single-wheeled front-end design that improves maneuverability, and a larger canopy with a pop-out sunshade that offers SPF 50plus protection. It also comes with a huge storage basket and a back-of-seat pocket that is easy to access.
The G-Luxe was the top performer in our tests of noise however it wasn't among the most durable in its class in terms of performance and durability. It also had the fewest recline positions among our test models. Its rear-facing seats aren't recommended for children less than two years old.
Although the UPPAbaby G-Luxe didn't take home our top umbrella stroller award, it is an excellent contender and has many of the features that make our winners so loved by families. It weighs 16 lbs and has a small footprint folded down however, it's not as
compact strollers as some of the other models we evaluated. The Summer Infant 3D Lite is 2 pounds lighter than the G-Luxe and folds to an even smaller size which makes it an ideal option for those looking for a
stroller travel that is light and is easy to maneuver.
BabyZen Yoyo2
The BabyZen Yoyo2 is a pram that delivers what's on the Tin. It is simple to use, light, and elegant. It's designed to be a part of urban life, and if you are planning to travel with it, it's ideal for that as well. It's more expensive than the other choices on this list, but it's one of the few that comes with a rain cover included.
Five Frenchmen created BabyZen with the intention of developing a stroller that was light for urban living. The YOYO2 is their latest model. The YOYO2 is an original folding and unfolding device that can be done by using only one hand. It is also extremely light and compact and can be carried on your shoulder. It's a great option for infants and comes with a bassinet. Once your baby is old enough to be a toddler, it can be turned into a seat. You can also add a car-seat to make it a complete travel system.
In terms of features In terms of features, the YOYO2 has a great suspension that can withstand difficult terrain and is extremely easy to push around. It comes with a large storage basket as well as a large zip pocket behind the seat that is convenient for your wallet, phone or snacks. It can be connected to other YOYOs to accommodate larger families. It's compatible with all Babyzen products including a footmuff and a large shopping basket.
The only drawback to the YOYO2 is that it is not suitable for long walks on cobblestones or in parks. It's a smooth and easy ride, but may not be as durable as a product designed for more rugged terrain. If you intend to use it for short city walks and to go on errands, then it should serve you very well. The YOYO2 can easily fit in and out of my Honda Civic's boot and also fits in the footwell. It is also smaller than many people's hand luggage, meaning it is perfect for flying with a child.
Summer Infant 3D Lite
The Summer Infant 3D Lite is lightweight, feature-rich stroller that folds into an extremely compact package for transport and storage. It's among the lightest strollers that we tested, and it's one of the most affordable options. It's not ideal for daily use because it does not come with a bassinet or a car seat but it is great for travel.
It has a weight capacity of 50 pounds, and it is able to carry toddlers. The large seat can be positioned almost flat to accommodate diaper changes or napping. The 5-point harness can be adjusted in three different height positions. There is a huge storage basket and a cup holder for parents. There is a peekaboo window on the canopy, which is covered by a flap of fabric and an additional pocket that is zippered for smaller items.
Similar to the UPPAbaby G-Luxe the stroller also steers very smoothly on smooth surfaces, but was stuck in cracks during our testing of rough terrain. The wheels are made of plastic and vibrate more than the average of our test group. It has a shorter strap to carry than the majority of the strollers we tested, making it harder to carry when you're carrying a large bag.
The 3Dlite folds in four seconds and then unfolds in just six. There are a few steps to the process: raising the lever in the back center to release the latch, then pushing down the latch on the back right and then pushing the handles down. While these aren't the fastest or slowest times for folding and unfolding a stroller they're still fairly quick. It also has a lot higher handle bars, which can be a problem for smaller people.
The Summer Infant 3D Lite has one major flaw that is that it doesn't come with a sunshade. It has a pretty large canopy, but it doesn't offer adequate protection for your child when you're walking facing the sun. It is a retractable visor that provides some protection when fully open however it doesn't cover the baby's head.
Zoe Traveler
The Zoe Traveler is the perfect stroller for people who want lightweight,
compact strollers. The stroller is not only light, but it can fold up to the size and shape of a carry-on suitcase! That's a huge plus in our book. It also comes with sun canopy, a parent console and various other accessories like an oversized backpack for storage or travel and cross-body or single shoulder straps, a kid's snack tray and an umbrella for the weather.
Zoe started as a family-owned enterprise and they take pride in making products that give parents with the most value as their children grow. This approach shows in their line of strollers, which range from a basic umbrella model to an expandable twin
double stroller with reclined seats. The strollers offered by this company are some of the best available and offer the best value for money.
We tried the Zoe Traveler to see how it compares to the competitors in terms of ease of use and usability. We looked at a variety of factors such as the fold and unfold, storage, maneuverability and safety. The stroller is easy to fold and unfold. However, it takes a little effort with just one hand. It's not as smooth as its rivals. It's not the best option for parents with taller heights because the handlebars only extend around 40 inches, which could be uncomfortable during long trips.
It is essential to have plenty of storage space in your stroller, particularly when you are on the road. It accounts for 25% of our overall score for ease of use. The Zoe Traveler scored 7 out of 10. There's a small bin in the back of the seat that could be used to store a diaper bag as well as maybe a coat or jacket. It's not likely to hold an entire day's worth of items.
The seats in the Zoe Traveler are comfortable but not the biggest in our test group. The seats have a decent amount of padding, and there are two recline settings. The recline adjusts easily with just one hand, but it takes two to raise it back up.
