World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and PvE Damage.

For instance, a weapon with the upgrade template ending in % will suffer 3damage to attack each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with item upgrader mod's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into armor, weapons and trinkets to provide an extra stat boost or effect when they're used. They can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a specific type of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment and some of the back items that are not ascending. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it's used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Level or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of the equipment using the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than would be required to achieve the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to alter the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades are available to be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades are available for purchase them in the cash shop or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of an item will be dropped at the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear even when they're not sure what can be improved upon a reset.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be costly, and there is a substantial chance that the item could become obsolete or even break if it fails. A failed upgrade will ruin the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items that increase or even eliminate the chance of failure, and some upgrades that offer an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs boost the power of all nodes in a radius around them and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded many ways, and we suggest getting them to level 15 whenever you can.

You'll often see in the final game that placing Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes more quickly.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed by using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a different Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the numerous Glyphs as well as some rare Glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus which will boost a specific set of stat nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. Leveling

The item upgrading system lets players increase the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components inside them. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items are able to be leveled until they reach a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of an item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained from the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or obtained from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields several Technology Points. These points can be used for leveling up an item. When enough points have been earned you will be able to claim your upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When an item is upgraded by a player, the base item is replaced by a new item of the same kind. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item also has its own set of bonuses. This can be a disadvantage because it can cause the item upgrader kit to become more expensive if you don't require it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrades. The item will be replaced with an entirely new item that is based on a level 1 base and totally different bonuses. This can be useful for some items, but it shouldn't be repeated often, as it could waste many resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides a buff if the player continuously enters or exits water. The item can be upgraded many times by increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item upgrade can be very useful in PvP battles, since the best version of it can be worth between 20 and 50 times its value without being upgraded.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to increase the quality of their equippable equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase the base defense of that piece, while upgrading weapon items will increase the base damage and required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an object it has a chance of failing. The failure rate increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to return to its original condition and the player having to pay for more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item does not upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item upgrader also loses any bonuses it gained like crit chance damage to attack, other effects (such as an increase in healing over time, or the speed of reloading). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

If an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded receives a crit chance boost it will be applied before any damage from attacks increases. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to the definitions of items. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined by its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its value. For instance an item that is commonplace could have five upgrades at a cost. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will have the lowest cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items could require different upgrades than regular gear. For instance they may require less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. Players will still have to bring each piece of gear they wish to upgrade to NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade will require different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the expenses listed above.
