He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment. His main focus is robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. These multitaskers are a great option for those who wish to take mopping off their to-do list. Some of them have excellent mapping and obstacle avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads for a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that also mops then this is the model to go for. It's smaller than the other models on this list, making it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best robot cleaner navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery in mid-clean.

It's very fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single pass. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to remove dirt, pet hair, and even droppings effortlessly. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help to tease out dirt from corners.

The mopping efficiency is less impressive, though not by much. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which is useful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. Those same front arms can be employed to clean larger objects, such as broken toys and fallen books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest best robot hoover mop and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't make as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for mopping and is sold separately from the vacuum. It is easy to install and performs well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum solely to mop, you will need to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a wide range of features.

The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out your home and detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and methodically. This results in a thorough, consistent clean that is also quite quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. This includes corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach areas. They also have a stretchy side brush that can be extended to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads are able to be dried and washed to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce the odors.

Another feature worth mentioning is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the strength of suction, and choose between a back-and-forth or slightly more randomized pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it will make, which will affect the speed at which the device can move through your home. You can also deactivate the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and carpets.

The device comes with a high price tag but is packed with a wide array of innovative features. It's important to remember that it carries periodic costs in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For instance brushrolls need to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hrs, and the mop pads should be changed every three months.

The robot vacuum that mops has an excellent rating on Amazon and includes a broad variety of physical automation features. It has the power button that can also function as a general 'Clean button, as well as a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station once it has completed its cleaning task. It also has a multifunctional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home neat without spending too much time on chores. Its powerful performance, smart navigation, and long battery life make it easy to maintain a clean house with little effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, that is, it can do both vacuuming and mopping. The robot is divided into two modules, a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping module that includes microfiber pads. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming however it does mean that you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.

Our test subjects discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its accurate map of your floorplan which it uses to determine a route when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers that help to shield certain areas of your house from being scrubbed with a mop.

We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up hair from pets. It was able to capture many of the hair sheds from our cats. It even got into the nooks and crannies on our stairs where other robots had struggled. It was quiet and had some nice jingles that let you know when it was about to start or finishing its work.

The app was too simple and you had to switch the modules each time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app cannot save multiple maps. This could be a problem if your home has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. It does however, have certain unique features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its massive dock, which doubles as a charging base and housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a cleaning sink, and an automatic vacuum cleaner and mop 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically empties.

The base has a couple of buttons for control, which allow you to manually start a cleaning task, recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock that is a great touch for parents worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more precise at finding objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally become so entangled with an obstacle--such as the power cord that is draped across a rug that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you remove it manually. While this was rare but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni doesn't have a "stuck" status alert on its app.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad but the mopping pad isn't cleaned or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.

On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad apparatus. It's a major contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing appearance in a market that is dominated by clunky, boxy units.robotic-vacuum-cleaner-cleaning-the-room-while-wom-2024-11-07-13-20-10-utc-min-jpg-original.jpg
