World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.

For example a weapon that has the upgrade template ending in % will suffer 3damage to attack each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons, and trinkets in order to provide a stat bonus or extra impact while they're being used. They can be obtained through making crafts, buying from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to devices that have slots. The item must be at least upgraded to blue before the component can be used. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once and cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade component that is used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the non-ascended back items. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could include a suffix or prefix that alters the name of the equipment to which it is used (for examplethe "Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with fewer Upgrade crystals than they require to achieve the same level with normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can modify the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them from the cash shop or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other equipment.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item will be revealed in the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep improving their equipment even if they're uncertain of how much they'll improve following a subsequent reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be expensive, and there is a high risk that the item may become obsolete or even break when it fails. A failed upgrade will cause the destruction of the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items to increase or even eliminate the chances of failure, and some upgrades that provide an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values can enhance a stat by. The value is shown when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph of the same rank or higher rank, which will increase the value of the glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have the desired Glyphs then you have to put them on your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that will boost a particular set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Using the Glyph can boost all nodes connected to it, and you should aim to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also want to consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to increase the performance of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled until they reach a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each level requires a different amount of components to be reached and the cost of upgrading increase as the item upgrader gets advanced in level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab of the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to upgrade the item, and once enough points are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrade the equipment they have, the base item is replaced by the new item. The same armor will receive an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also has its own set bonus. This could be a drawback, as the item can be more expensive even if you don't need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, provided that the player has enough tokens to do this. The item will be replaced by a brand new one that is based on a level 1 base and completely different bonuses. This is a good idea however it should not be repeated often since it can be a waste of resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives buffs when the player repeatedly enters or exits the water. This item can be upgraded many times and increases the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item level upgrade is extremely valuable in PvP as the best version of it can be worth between 20 and 50x its value if it is not upgraded.

Requirements

The upgrader for items allows players to increase the level of their equipment (armor weapons, armor, and trinkets) beyond ilvl385 by handing over the appropriate currency to the NPC. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the defense base of the item, and upgrading weapon items will increase the damage base and required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

All items are upgradeable up to five times, except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting to its initial state, which requires the player to spend additional items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained like chances to be crit, attack damage, or additional effects (such as an increase in healing over time, or reloading speed). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon receives a crit chance boost that it will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. Slots is a new attribute that has been added to the definitions of items. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade item an item is based on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its value. For instance an item that is commonplace could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will come with the lowest cost for each upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements than standard gear--for instance, they may require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. The player will need to bring each piece of gear they wish to upgrade to NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade item of equipment requires different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the cost that are listed above.
