World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also increase bonuses, such as PvE damage and crit chance.

For example an item with the upgrade template ending in % will suffer an attack damage of 3% each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases as the item level upgrade's level rises.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets in order to provide them with a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors trading, or looting. Certain upgrades also come with special cosmetic effects.

upgrade item (to Google) components can only be applied to equipment with a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to blue before a component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging ascended gear or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it is used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of the equipment using fewer Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to alter the defense or attack properties of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades are available to be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or by buying them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

The player can have a maximum of five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the chance that a better-quality version of the item will appear during the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep upgrading their gear even if they're uncertain of how much it will improve after a future reset.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be expensive, and there is a significant chance that the item could become obsolete or even break if it fails. A unsuccessful upgrade could destroy the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also offer the player a bonus if they are they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes in a radius around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible up to 15 levels.

In the endgame, you will often find that the Best item upgrade way to enhance your equipment is to use Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component which can be upgraded to level 15 and give an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restriction. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values it can improve a statistic by, and the value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs You will have to put them on your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that can boost the stats of a specific set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. Based on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Using a Glyph will boost all nodes that are linked to it, and you should aim to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids, for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may be able to place them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system of items allows players to boost the stats of specific items by adding upgraded components. This is also known as "upping". Every upgradeable item has an amount that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each level of an item requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to level up the item, and when enough are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrades an item to a higher level, the original item is replaced by a new item of the same type. The same armor can be transformed into a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item will also come with a bonus of its own. This could be a disadvantage since the item may increase in price even if you do not need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do this. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, which will come with the level 1 base, and a totally different set of bonuses. This can be beneficial, but should not be repeated often since it could waste resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their equipment. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or is able to swim like dolphins). This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item is very useful in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of the non-upgraded version.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to increase the level of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by presenting the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase the base defense of the piece, whereas upgrading weapons will increase the damage base and the strength and dexterity required to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear, which can be upgraded up to eight times. Each time you upgrade an object, it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to go to its initial state, which will force the user to spend more materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item isn't upgraded, the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it earned, such as crit chance damage to attack, other effects (such as a higher healing rate over time, or the speed of reloading). However, the user can continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an Best item upgrade are dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a standard equipment item might have 5 upgrades, each costing 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero grade items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements than standard gear--for instance, they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. Whatever the case, players must visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each upgrade requires an individual amount of ingredients for upgrading.
