WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the item level by +3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.

Upgraded gear generally sees greater value for trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as valuable for the latter because of the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item level upgrade item (maps.google.nr) upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the Best item upgrader but they will always be cheaper than buying new equipment. For example upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that can be used to level up weapons, tools, armor, and other items. They are purchased by players from item upgrader NPCs in exchange for different currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any tool, weapon or armor. The button will display a preview of an item's next level of upgrade, when there are enough materials.

The upgrade cost depends on the item slot and the current level of the item and the weapon's price is higher than gloves or bracers, for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades give a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currencies.

Many locations have upgraders for their items in addition to the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount as well as a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases when more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete certain achievements or complete quests.

Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II, there is no upgrader for items in the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that can be used to upgrade must be acquired through several methods which is both an improvement and a drawback.

In Season 3, several new features have been added to the upgrade system. Once the player has upgraded to a certain Best item upgrade level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item level, will cost less. This applies regardless of whether the items are from a different set of equipment.

The amount of Valorstones needed to upgrade is reduced and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players reach certain milestones in their achievements.

Crests

When it comes to upgrading gear in WoW players have a few choices. Flightstones are an item that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system that was introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.

The first thing to be aware of is that crests can only be spent on equipment that is of a particular rank, and each rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The simplest and simplest upgrade route costs 15 crests while the most complex requires as many as 20 crests, based on the type of equipment that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by finishing tasks at the appropriate level. It's also important to use crests with care, since they only have one use. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the top-quality equipment you can locate and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is especially relevant for items like trinkets and rings that fill several slots. The discount for the entire account will only apply when all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
