WoW Upgrades - The
item level Upgrade Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an
item upgrading by +3. A random additional substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.
Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless the item has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll to get a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item used to upgrade will be consumed forever and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.
The upgrader can be found in all major cities and can be visited anytime to upgrade your equipment. To keep your gear current, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.
The cost of upgrades will be based on the current level of the equipment being upgraded however, they will always be cheaper than purchasing new equipment from other sources. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item from another player will costs 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are useful items which can be used to upgrade weapons and tools, armor and other items. Players can purchase them through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any tool, weapon, or armor. button, which displays an image of the item at its next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.
The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the
Best item upgrader and current item level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of the Flightstones or crests that are used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currencies.
Item upgraders can be found in a variety of locations including the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon as well as the possibility of obtaining an entirely new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases depending on the amount of items that are being upgraded, and can be boosted by having players complete specific achievements or quests.
Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II, there is no upgrader for items at the start of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades must be acquired through various methods which is both an improvement and a drawback.
In Season 3, the upgrade system was modified a bit, and several new features added. After the player has upgraded to a certain level of item for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same item level will cost less. This is true regardless of whether the items come from another set of equipment.
The discount is available to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players have reached certain achievement milestones.
Crests
Players have several choices when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are used for specific
item upgrades level upgrades. Crests are an integral part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that Crests are only available to equipment that is with a certain rank. Each rank comes with distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and simplest
upgrade items costs 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, contingent on the type of equipment that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through finishing content at the appropriate level. This could mean doing outdoor activities, or by completing dungeons and raids in all difficulties to get lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons with a heroic difficulty to obtain endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an upgrader for the item such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and routes.
The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, however it will bring some changes to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to get their equipment to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters instead of relying only on seasonal loot.
Another significant change is that crests only have one use therefore it's essential to use them properly. For instance, it's a good idea to make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests on the top equipment you have and then save Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you're planning to create. This is particularly relevant for items like rings and trinkets that occupy several slots. The account-wide discount will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
