If you roll the gear to a level lower than that of the power that created their Added Effects and they cease to work. If you roll the power at least three levels lower than the current level, these Addition Effects are rendered ineffective.
The same is true of set bonuses, with the exception that the soul-matching of ethereal versions with any normal versions of the same set bonus, you will be eligible for the + version of the Set Bonus (which is indicated by an asterisk in the Added Effects window).
