The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should pick if you are looking for an automatic hoover vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other models on this list making it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it one of my top navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It's got a battery of 4600mAh that can last up to 170 mins when cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It will even return to the dock to top up its battery part way through cleaning.

It's quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one motion. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to pick up dirt as well as pet hair and even droppings easily. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs and the double side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as good. The mop rotates quickly and uses 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into tight corners or on baseboards. Those same front arms can also be used to sweep larger objects, such as broken toys and fallen books.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It is quieter and doesn't create more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for mopping and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's simple to install and is effective, but it's something you'll have to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most best robot hoover vacuums that mops in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a wide range of features.

The device comes with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the house and locate furniture and other obstacles. You can also set the number of passes it should make, which will affect how quickly the device can move around your home. You can even choose to disable the side brush to prevent damaging rugs and carpets.

This device is expensive but it comes with a lot of smart features. It is important to remember that the device incurs recurring expenses in the form mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For example, the brushroll will need to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pads should be changed every one to three months.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, that is, it can do mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two components which include a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping module which includes a microfiber pad. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming but it does mean you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its most impressive feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs, and other obstacles. The app also offers the option to set 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which can help to protect certain areas of your home from being scrubbed with mop.

We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up hair from pets. It was able capture an enormous amount of hair our cats shed and even found its way into the nooks and crannies of our stairs which other robots struggled. It was relatively quiet and had some pleasant jingles that indicated when it was about to start or completing its task.

Its main drawbacks were its lack of sophistication and the requirement to swap between the modules to switch between mopping and vacuuming. The app can't keep multiple maps. This can be a problem if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want a smart robot vacuum that mops that can do both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. However, it has certain unique features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its massive dock which serves as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning, and the 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically eliminates.

The base comes with several control buttons that let you manually begin a cleaning task or recall the robot, or run the dock's automatic hoover emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to turn off a child lock, which is a nice feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally become so entangled with obstacles, like a power cord draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you remove it manually. While this was rare but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni does not have a "stuck" status alert on its application.

Another possible issue is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between use. This can cause mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a big difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's an impressive sight in a market dominated by clunky boxes.
