Best Robotic Mop and Vacuum Combos
The majority of robot vacuums and mops can be customised using an application that allows you to save the maps of your home, set cleaning schedules and select mopping options. You can also alter the suction power and fine-tune how much water and scrub action your mop makes use of.
A mapping function will help your robot navigate around rooms. An obstacle avoidance feature helps it avoid running over furniture, wires or other toys. These are essential features for my home, which is filled with toys that are scattered about.
1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the flagship mop and vacuum cleaner, so it is naturally with features. It can mop and sweep simultaneously, and even lift its brushes or mop pads to ensure that soft surfaces don't get too wet. It also can detect and avoid obstacles, thanks to the ability to identify pet toys plants, a variety of small objects.
The maximum suction power is 6,000 pascals. This is more than any robot vacuum we have tested to date. It also has PreciSense LiDAR navigation that tracks its position, preventing it from getting stuck on objects.
The mopping capabilities of the S8 Pro Ultra are also impressive. It can apply constant pressure to the pad at over 6 Newtons for a thorough clean. It also comes with an automatic mop lifting system which lifts the pad when it goes from laminate to tile, hardwood to carpets and rugs to prevent soaking these types of soft surfaces.
The S8 Pro Ultra also has self-washing, and self-drying features. The pad can be cleaned and then dried with the dock, and the dust bin is automatically empty and returned to it. This means you can just set it and forget it, only having to clean the dust bag and refill the water tank on occasion.
All of this is powered by a 5,200mAh lithium-ion battery. I ran it on its normal vac and mop settings for approximately 160 minutes before the S8 Pro Ultra started to get power hungry and then return to its base to recharge. This is within the range of the 180 minutes Roborock claims and is in line with other hybrids that I've tested.
It's a robust, well-rounded product. The only downside is that it's pricey. But, the sheer number of features makes it a very tempting alternative for anyone who wishes to go away from their old stick vacuums and mops. If you can justify the hefty price tag we strongly recommend checking this one out.
2. Dreametech L10S Ultra
The Dreametech L10S Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end combination. Its high-end price is justified by its powerful features, which include the capacity to vacuum large volumes and two gyrating mops. It comes with an app-enabled smart controller as well as an advanced obstacle-avoidance system.
The L10S Ultra is one of the most expensive robotic vacuum and mop combos available, at a recommended retail price of 999 euros. In my tests, it performed admirably throughout the home. It removed 98.4% debris on all types of floors and was able to lift hair that was long without getting caught up in. The mops also performed well with excellent cleaning results with less effort than mid-range models. This was thanks to their rotational movement and the powerful cleaning solution.
The docking station is the primary selling point of the L10S Ultra. It's multifunctional and modern. The docking station emptys the dustbin into a bag for dirt, fills up the tank with water to use for mopping and even dries mop pads. It also has an in-real-time system for detecting hazards and lets you schedule periodic cleaning sessions via its smart controls.
Unlike the other hybrid vacuum mops that I tested, the L10S Ultra doesn't offer advanced dirt pickup on carpets. The mops on the L10S Ultra are not as effective in removing tough stains as the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
Despite the L10S Ultra’s high-end features, it requires regular maintenance. Its base station has to be cleaned and the water and dust tanks should be cleaned, empty and dried regularly to prevent unpleasant odors and mildew. It is also important to remember that the mop pads, which are bought separately are required to be replaced regularly too.
Given the L10S Ultra's premium pricing and its extensive features I would highly recommend it to anyone who has the money for it. For those who are on a tighter budget, I suggest considering a less basic model that will allow you to save money while still enjoying clean hands at home. Even it were the case that the L10S Ultra was the
Best robot vacuum cleaner UK robot mop and vacuum you could buy however, its cost and frequent maintenance will make it more of a want than need.
3. Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a
Best robot vacuum uk mop and vacuum that will remove dust and dirt on your floors while taking care of wet messes then look no further than the Eufy S1 Pro. This powerful robovac/mop set-up comes with a powerful 8,000 Pa suction power. It also boasts a huge battery capacity that can be used for both vacuuming as well as mowing. It is also equipped with a top-quality obstacle-avoidance technology. It has a roller-mop that cleans itself which makes it stand out from other models which require you to return to the base station to wash off the mop pad.
The S1 Pro uses a unique mopping system that is a significant departure from the microfibre pads and spinning discs of other robots. The roller covers the entire width of the robot and is constantly filled with clean, ozonated water from its dock. The roller scrubs the floor while collecting dirt. Any dry debris is removed using the side brushes, or swept into the front bumper. The S1 Pro then discharges the mop water that is dirty into its base station where it is sucked up by the tank's heating elements and is poured into a larger storage bin. The onboard tank holds plenty of water and can manage about a dozen mopping sessions before going dry.
The S1 Pro comes ready to use out of the package, just like most other robotic vacuums and mops. It will need to be filled with clean water, however this is easy to do in the cleaning dock. You can also add cleaning solution to the dock, in case you want to have the option of using your own brand of cleaner. However, if you do choose to use this feature you'll have to purchase the cleaning solution from Eufy, which is more expensive than other robot brands that permit you to use your personal cleaning products.
As with most robots like it, the S1 Pro did well in navigation efficiency and coverage evaluations. It was quick to map the area and was able to navigate around furniture. The only issue is that it was stuck a couple of times on longer pile carpets and rugs in my tests however this could be fixed when the software is upgraded. The S1 Pro is an all-in-one robot that has lots of features at an affordable price.
4. Roborock Qrevo
The Qrevo is Roborock's entry-level mop and vacuum however it has several impressive features. The dock's multi-function function is emptying the
robot hoover's dirtbag and refilling its water tanks, and cleaning and sanitizing the mop pads is handled by the dock. The mopping system itself is capable cleaning up a significant portion of an area before it has to return to its dock and the vacuum's powerful suction is capable of picking up debris and pet hair on carpets.
The software that runs the appliance is quite extensive, and provides a variety of options to customize the cleaning process. You can set it up manually to start the full map and then clean of everything that is mapped by the device or you can choose individual rooms, expandable zones or even a schedule you've crafted. There are a number of mopping options that include SmartPlan -an algorithm that uses the mops' sensors to determine the most efficient way to clean your home while it maps the area.
The Qrevo was a great performer in our tests, just like the other Roborock models that we've evaluated. Its navigation system works well in locating rooms quickly and cleaning in a neat way. The 'Normal' setting for pathing is excellent at covering a space, with no gaps or missing areas. Reactive Tech's hazard avoidance function works well, but it is not as advanced as the color camera systems on the Qrevo Master and the S8 Pro Ultra. It is able to detect dangers like carpets with thick padding, but might not be able to recognize smaller items such as rug tassels and electrical wires.
This device has a major problem: it doesn't offer a mop after vacuuming. This could be a problem for those who regularly vacuum before using their robot. There's a good alternative: the app has an option to "clean up" at the end of each session. This allows you to use the mopping function of the vacuum to remove the last traces of dust and debris left behind by your vacuuming. It's a nice touch and helps this robot clean up a little bit better than its cheaper rivals.
