WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boosts in certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases a random substat.
The more modernized gear generally has a more value in trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less important for those with higher variance because of the requirement to roll an exact version.
Recycle Points
The
item upgrader mod upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.
You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.
Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item, however, they are always cheaper than purchasing new gear. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar
Best item upgrade will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to level up weapons and tools, armor and other items. They can be purchased from NPCs of item upgraders in a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor using a button, which will display an item's preview at its next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.
The cost of upgrading is based on the item slot and the current item level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of the Flightstones or the crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of both currency types.
Many locations offer item level Upgrade (
hikvisiondb.webcam) upgraders which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon as well as the possibility of getting a new recipe. The upgrade discount increases according to the number of items being upgraded. It can also be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at beginning unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. Instead, the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades require various methods which is both an improvement as well as a disadvantage.
In Season 3 the upgrade system has been modified a bit, and several new features added. Once a player has upgraded to a specific level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same item level will cost less. This is even if those items are from another set of gear.
The discount is applicable to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is reduced also, but is only available once certain milestones are reached.
Crests
When it comes to upgrading equipment in WoW, players have a few options. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specialized, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that crests are only able to be used on gear of a specific rank, and that every rank has different requirements for upgrading. The simplest and simplest upgrade route costs 15 crests while the most complicated may require as many as 20 crests depending on the type of gear being upgraded.
Players can obtain crests by working through content that is of the appropriate level, which means walking around and doing outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons of any difficulty for higher-tier items or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons for gear that is used in the endgame. The crests can then be exchanged with an upgrader such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and paths.
Using these new currencies isn't too difficult however, the system will introduce a few changes to the overall upgrade process. For instance, when an
item upgrades is at the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it won't need Flightstones to be upgraded. This is to allow players to upgrade their equipment up to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
It's also important to use crests in a wise manner, as they only have one use. For instance it's a good idea use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the top equipment available, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you're planning to create. This is especially relevant for items like rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The discount on the account is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
