However, they aren't able to pick up small particles as well as canister or upright vacuums and can miss ground-in dirt close to thresholds and baseboards.

It also comes with a smart mapping system, and can be programmed to run only during specific hours (a useful feature for keeping mischievous children and dextrous animals from running wild). The Shark isn't as powerful than other mop/robot combos but it's effective in removing hair and pet hair. It is the best value among our top choices.
Best for Hard Flooring
Robot vacuums are ideal for floors with hardwood floors because they can navigate around obstacles easily without damaging floors that aren't. They are fantastic in removing dust and crumbs, but they struggle with pet hair and larger debris. They don't have the suction of the top canister or upright vacuum, which makes them unsuitable for deep cleaning upholstery or carpeted areas.
The most effective robots are those that come with two-in-one features, combining mop and vacuum to complete the job in one go. Choose a model that has an onboard sensor to detect changes in the floor texture and adjust suction to match.
