Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

An upgrade item is a unique item that will make certain Pokemon develop. The Upgrade can be obtained by spinning a PokeStop's photo disc and is sometimes given as a reward at Pokemon GO events.

Upgrade components

There are different upgrade components, each of which comes with a different bonus. Universal upgrades like gems and inscriptions are able to be used on any type of equipment. They provide smaller bonuses than other types of upgrade components. Infusions are able to be used on non-amulet and legendary ascended items, and enrichments can be utilized on certain back equipment that is ascended. The majority of upgrade components can be replaced when they are inserted into an item upgrade, however doing so can destroy the previous upgrade. There are exceptions for glyphs (which can only be inserted into gathering tools) and enchantments, which can be removed and then reinserted.

Insignias or enchantments, as well as prefix/suffix upgrades will be displayed in the hover display of the item, while they will be added to the equipment's name (e.g. a Radiant Insignia would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). Glyphs

Once a glyph has been upgraded to its desired level, you can activate it by selecting it, then pressing the "enchant" button. The Glyph that is created will grant its stated bonus, and also boost all other nodes in its radius on the Paragon Board. Rerolling
