WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boost in specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. A random substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.

The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for the latter because of the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item upgrading will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to the enchantments.

The upgrader is located in every major city, and is accessible at any time to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended to visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks, to keep your equipment up to date.

The cost of upgrading will be based on the current item level of the equipment being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment from other sources. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar Best item upgrade from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items which can be used to upgrade weapons tools, armor, and other items. They are purchased by players through item upgrader NPCs in exchange for various currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any weapon, tool or armor. The button will show a preview of an item upgrade's next upgrade level if there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the slot for the item and the current level of the item. For instance, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a number of crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or the crests used. Once an Item level Upgrade is upgraded to a certain level and is degraded, it can be sold and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currency types.

Upgraders for items can be found in a variety of locations including the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon and a possibility of obtaining an entirely new recipe. Crests

It's also important to use crests in a wise manner, as they only have one use. It is recommended to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear you can locate and save Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly true for items such as trinkets and rings that take up multiple slots. The account-wide discount will only be applicable if all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
