World of Warcraft -
Item UpgradingThe
item upgrade lets players increase an item's gear rating up 700 points, and then add a bonus. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory before heading to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading because of their distinctive stats. (For instance, a perfectly broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items, like weapons don't really change after an upgrade and aren't worth the cost.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, like attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. A lot of weapons also come with a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are equipped in a group. In certain instances, this bonus could amount to more than the amount of damage a weapon is able to upgrade on its own.
The cost of upgrading a weapon varies on its rarity and level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon requires two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the gun will increase until it needs more Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.
The upgrade of weapons can also change their base stats. This is usually a positive factor, but it could also have negative effects. Upgrades can make items unusable, unless you are exceptionally lucky.
Items of armor can also be upgraded to boost their stats. This will increase the base defense of a chest or helm as well as belts and gloves. These can boost their strength and agility. Armor offers a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it may roll down to a lower value.
The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats it will gain after upgrading, along with the relative value of those stats. This means that a change from a sword with 8 damage to an 11 attack-damage sword will result in a weapon receiving 3% of attack damage. However the 3% does not mean that it will be hit for 3 fewer times, since it is an absolute statistic.
Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button in the item menu using the circling arrows. This will reroll the item and alter its stats however, it will not reset the weapon's level or tie it to the account status.
Armor
Making a few improvements to your armor can make a huge differences in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets provide massive boosts to poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, which makes the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. In general, the more defense you can offer your character, the more health you will receive from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.
To upgrade your armor, go to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four in total and each one requires you to complete a specific side quest that involves the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main quest and the associated fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.
The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor is different. In general, you'll be looking at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the first upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for instance can be upgraded to a 5 defense rating, which will allow you to stay ahead in frigid conditions with a lot of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other side, can be upgraded to +20 defense, which means you're able to survive a battle with your friends.
It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll have to focus on enhancing it to increase physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power if you're Mage. It is also recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you'll still wear by the end of the story, such as the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
You can also get some perks for your armor by presenting the jeweler at Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally speaking, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to beat the game, like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is useful to have some improvements to the chest armor and helmets that allow you to stealth around some monsters.
Potions
Potions are bottled substances that, when consumed, give the user an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five kinds of potions, each with different effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to improve their effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding redstone dust and glowstone dust.
Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP. These can be earned by making them on a crafting table or in an chest of the Alchemist. However, the cost of upgrading changes depending on what kind of potion you wish to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level as well as its rarity.
To upgrade a potions simply right-click on it in your inventory. Select "Upgrade" from the menu. This opens an GUI where you can select the potions you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll produce when upgraded. Upgrading potions can be done in batches of up to five at a time and the XP that they generate will be added to your current XP level.
Once a poton is upgraded and stored, it will not degrade unless you make use of it again or break the bottle within the container it is stored. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to change its name.
Version 1.7.2 brought a few changes to the mechanism of potions. For instance the splash potions now have the duration of 0.08 seconds (this is not the equivalent of 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the hover display for the
item upgrader). The table of potion can now be constructed using four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players in Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions are not compatible with cauldrons like Java Edition. Additionally, using a potentio on a full cauldron, it drains the liquid and replenishes the bottle.
Finally, there are simmering potions that are made using dragon breath and splash potions. Similar to lingering potions, the can be enhanced by adding redstone. The table of potion ingredients is now organized more closely to the Java Edition, and new potions were added such as the potion of leaping and the decomposition potion, and turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket can be an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece of jewelry. It may also refer to an object or ornament that serves a purpose, but is not particularly important, such as a thimble. In certain traditions, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, particularly between family members.
In addition to weapons, armor and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. These can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Unlike other
item level upgrade upgrades trinkets are able to be exchanged at will without losing their status.
The upgrade vendors are located in major cities and the capital of each zone, and in some cases, dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are offered with tokens, gold, or fragments from rare trinkets.
The upgrade of a trinket can be an affordable alternative to buying new ones. It is possible to upgrade a player for just 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same level of base as the old trinket but will also have an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.
Once the old Trinkets are not usable, they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded among players, making them an alternative to gold.
Players should upgrade their most essential items first. This means that the best-in slot items for each class are upgraded first, followed by their secondary gear and other pieces of equipment that won't be replacing in the near future (such as an earring or a cloak). When choosing the items to upgrade, players should also consider their class's preferred statistics. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for tank players, then they should upgrade their chest, helm and shoulders.
Trinkets can be re-upgraded to a higher ilvl after they no longer have value and the new trinket will receive an additional 1%
upgrade item bonus. Re-upgrading can cause damage to the trinket unless it can be saved using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than purchasing an entirely new trinket.
