World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

The upgrade of an item can be used to boost the stats of an item. Based on the type of upgrade, it can increase an item's Rarity or Mark Level and boost additional stats.

Each item has a track to upgrade it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next item by a specific amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's basic stats increases when it is upgraded. This is the sum of all of its leveled up benefits (attack magic attack, attack defense). Upgrades can be costly, depending on who you hire and what you decide to do. This is due to how many perks need to be replaced to allow the item to be upgraded.

It can also be used as a gating requirement when waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It also serves as a gating requirement when waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios, and to limit the amount of PvP gear players can wear (since PvP is restricted to a lower level). The average item level can be found on the character sheet.

Utilizing the level of an item will allow players to compare the potency of gear when they decide to buy or sell. It's an indicator of the damage and quality. Comparing items in the inventory of a seller can be done by using the level of the item.

The level of the item can be seen by pressing the ALT key on a PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will show the full description of the item, including its value. It can also be found by hovering an item with the mouse cursor and typing /itemlevel in chat.

There are a variety of theories on how the level of an item is determined. One theory is that the item level is a number that comes from a formula that calculates how much an item's stats are worth. It considers the fact that various perks have different value and that gems in sockets increase the overall value of the item. This could result in a calculated item's ilvl that is usually very close to Blizzard's actual item level.

This isn't the only factor that influences the ilvl of an item. The location of where the item was dropped may change its stats. For instance, it could increase the item's haste or crit rating. This means that items dropped at higher levels will have higher the ilvl than items from lower level instances.

Item Stats

Item stats are a big part of what determines the value of an item for players. The game uses a lot of them in various ways to encourage players to play with a variety of weapons, and prevent one weapon from being "the most effective." The stat mods on a weapon boost the base stats. These stat mods are then increased by a player's level.

The upgrades to an item can increase its stats. The cost of upgrades is determined by the rarity of the item. For instance, a gray or white item will only be upgraded once, whereas an item with the rare tiers will be upgraded several times at higher prices.

Affixes can also be used to alter the stats of an item. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player and they come in all shapes and sizes. The affixes can be used to give items additional damage or special capabilities (such as reviving dead or reducing cooling downs) or to differentiate them by putting a name on them.

All affixes can be currently re-rolled by selecting them in the upgrade menu and pressing the green button. This process will cost the player a specific amount of gold and items that can be used to add to the upgrade gauge in the same way as other rerolling options.

Players can upgrade an item to a specific stat, or reroll affixes. The range of stats determined by the item's level. However every item will include at least one stat within the range, unless they are an exclusive item upgrader kit or an item that has a God Roll from a raid boss.

Another thing that could change is the option to upgrade equipment without having to roll the attachments, or pick which stats to increase. Like the base equipment, it would have to be done per item and the item comparison interface will not show all possible stats at once.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player stacks up to increase the chances of finding items, the properties spawned on loot drops and the intensity of the properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives the player an opportunity to get better equipment earlier in the game. This is particularly useful in early game runs since players tend to prioritize the scaling of weapons and defenses over raw damage gains.

Luck can also increase the likelihood of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chance of upgrading, which increases with each level and can be further enhanced by using an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

Weapons, shields, and armor can be created or spawned with the Luck property, with the default value of 40. These items can be upgraded with golden ingots, spined leather or oak boards (depending on the material of the item) to give +40 Luck or to boost the Luck of an item up to 140.

Certain items, such as the weapon with Hollow-infused components can also be crafted to increase the damage of any ability that causes damage by five percent. These items can be bought from the shop or crafted using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Upgrades to items are costly and not all upgrades will succeed. Cash shop items can be used to increase the chance of success of an upgrade or to prevent players from losing their items if it does not work.

When you upgrade an item the rate of success is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the likelihood of successfully upgrading the item. This can be increased by using Additional Materials or Special Materials. The probability of success can only be increased so much, and the chance that the upgrade will fail cannot exceed 100%.

The performance of an upgrade is also affected by the Luck of that item. Every item has a success rate of 25 percent, and every item with Luck increases this chance by 5percent.

Note that upgrades to items are rendered above the inventory items which means that enchantment glints and other effects could be obstructed by the overlays. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the item upgrader - from the perfectworld.wiki blog, CORE client config.
