Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you've ever wanted to get a
Robot Vac vacuum, now is the time to get one. CNET's
top robot vacuum cleaner-rated models will be available during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and
smart vacuum cleaner mapping, with apps-based no-go zones. its 180-minute runtime is awe-inspiring. It also self-empties itself and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba J7+, IRobot's smartest robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its greatest innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste that most other robots can't avoid (and often plough right through). It's the first robot to send you a picture of an object that it encounters, meaning you can instruct the robot to stay clear of it.
The Combo j7+ is also the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, picking up dirt and spills with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. You can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't vacuum in areas you don't would like. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off using your voice.
Its design is an improvement over the rest, with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robotic than a loud, obnoxious one. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty which is great to reduce the time spent cleaning.
In our tests the j7+ was quick to clean up dust, dirt and pet hair. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one spot instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able to capture sand, small gravel and even a bit of grit. Most robots could not achieve this feat. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair.
Although it's not as efficient as the Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum and can't clean stairs, the J7+ is an excellent option for those who require both mopping and a vac in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly to use.
While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however we've found it be less reliable than other applications that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and it can be difficult to determine if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
When you're looking for a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, your
best robot vacuum under 200 option is probably one that is a hybrid. This type of robot typically comes with a built-in tank for water which means they can vacuum and mop your house simultaneously. These bots also come with a variety of extra features like smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they tend to be pricey at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.
Roborock makes some of our favorite robot vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. This is the least expensive model in their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't come with some of the luxurious features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories), it's still an excellent choice for those who are willing to make a few compromises to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is noticeable soft around obstacles like wall legs and table legs and walls, which makes it a great choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is an area that most robot vacuums of lower quality fall short. The Q5+'s navigation system is also excellent, with few misses along walls or in corners.
The Q5+, as with other Roborock products, can be controlled by only a few buttons on your device or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones and alter your home map, or re-label rooms.
If you decide to go with the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto-empty dock designed specifically to make this machine easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once it's installed, emptying the bin can be done without difficulty. It comes with a huge LCD screen that is very useful when setting up schedules and adjusting settings. This isn't an essential feature for the majority of people however it can aid in keeping track of your robot's maintenance intervals with ease.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly clever in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is among the top in the market however, it's costly.
It's a small base station that looks great and is easily hidden when not in use. But the station's biggest selling point is how it automates many tasks and functions that other robots leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water and also electrolyze and warm the water. The majority of other robots require you to do this.
And its vacuuming is impressive, too. It's the only robovac that I've used that has done well at picking up dirt from floors that aren't. And it's not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robot vacuums. This means it could get stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It's also not able to climb stairs like other competitors and doesn't come with a dock that can create a cleaning area for carpets that are soft.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent option for those looking for a
intelligent vacuum cleaner robot that can do everything.
If you're looking to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options on the market. A lot of eufy models are substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive, but offers many more features, like stair climbing and a full-function Dock, with the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on plain floors carpets, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac g30
Eufy is an Anker company that has an established track record of making robot vacuums that offer the perfect balance of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for hard and carpet floors, as well as mopping functions at a reasonable price. It's easy to set up, just snap one of the side brushes on, turn it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app takes you through several steps to connect to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. It is recommended to keep the dock near an electrical outlet and enough space for it to move around, however.
The G30 is a small device that measures 2.85 inches in height, so it will fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is less ostentatious when compared to rival models. It features a sleek black finish with three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.
The most important feature that distinguishes the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of the immovable objects it encounters and then keeps track of what it has already cleaned and what it isn't able to access. When it's time to recharge, it automatically returns to its base and resumes cleaning from where it left off.
The sleek G30 isn't without faults however. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more built, incurs lower recurring expenses, charges faster and offers similar battery life while offering superior performance on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It comes with a larger dust bin that does not require as much emptying. It also comes with boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container does not require emptying as often and it has less trouble with heavy materials such as cereal.
