World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Item upgrades are a key part of gearing up your character. Upgrades boost damage to items and enchantments.
They also offer bonus effects and enhancements. They can be acquired from the Blacksmith.
The upgrade button is located on any item. Every item recycled adds a level to the gauge of upgrade.
Weapons
When an
item upgrading is upgraded, it will gain an initial damage bonus as well as an increase in the scaling factor that affects other stats. The weapon may also gain a variety of upgrade components that offer additional attributes or effects as well as distinct cosmetic effects. These upgrades can be inserted into weapons, armor, trinkets, or gathering tools, and they generally require the equipment to have an upgrade slot that is available and meet certain specifications. The upgrade component can be removed from an armored weapon, weapon, or trinket, but it is not replaced. (Except for legendary equipment). Upgrade components can be retrieved by using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool, or using a high-end salvage tool on the
item upgrader mod itself.
In addition to the normal upgrades, a weapon can be upgraded using the Calibration Attribute which improves certain stats, such as Weakspot Damage or Crit Rate. This is done through the Gear Workbench interaction menu. This can be repeated four times, based on weapon level.
After the weapon has reached its maximum level of upgrade it can be reforged to add different bonuses and effects or improve specific stats. Many of these upgrades can be re-applied simultaneously, and the effects are based on the quality of the weapon.
There are two Blacksmiths in the game that can perform these upgrades: Blacksmith Hewg in the Church of Elleh hub area and Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor Site of Grace. Both upgrade materials differ: Smithing Stones to modify the type of damage that a weapon deals and Somber Smithing Stones to alter the standard weapons.
In general, it is recommended to upgrade weapon damage first, followed by armour defense, and then the other secondary stats as required by your build. In particular, it's common to see melee druids upgrade their weapon prior to any other gear, since this can increase DPS. This is particularly true for enchantments, which are extremely efficient in increasing the damage of a weapon and other stats.
Armor
Item upgrades allow players to boost the effectiveness of certain armors, weapons trinkets and gathering tools. These upgrades can also give additional effects, such as more damage or a cosmetic enhancement. Item upgrades can be obtained through crafting, buying from NPC vendors, through loot drops, or as rewards from quests.
The armor can be upgraded by visiting the Armorer NPC, and spending the appropriate currency. Most armor upgrades to the next level after an upgrade. This is the case for any type of armor, but certain items are not upgradeable in any way (such as the armor used to start in Great Sky Island).
The majority of armor upgrades boost the item's strength or defense by only a tiny amount. Certain upgrade components, however can result in significant increases in strength or defense. This is particularly the case when upgrading epic items.
In addition to increasing the defense of an item, some upgrades also offer special abilities that can be activated while wearing a piece of armor. These abilities can prove beneficial in combat. For instance they can boost attack speed or block. Certain upgrades also have passive effects, for instance reducing the amount of damage that is taken while wearing armor or adding a chance to dodge attacks.
Depending on the type of armor being used, upgrading an
item Upgrader Kit can require multiple tries. If a player wants to upgrade Steelclash armor into Dragonscale The first attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor that has a defense base between 59-67. The second attempt would result in a Dragonscale armor that has the base defense of between 67-77.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild allows players to upgrade their armor sets to level 4. To do this it is necessary to visit each of the four locations known as Great Fairy Fountains in the game. Each of these locations is home to an incredibly powerful fairy who can upgrade a piece of armor for the player.
Contrary to popular opinion, armor in The Division 2 is not useless. Certain armors provide a significant boost to the reduction of damage caused by poison spells, curses, magic or fire. This makes them valuable for certain builds. There are other methods to increase the strength of armor apart from upgrading armor, such as using the engineer trait to increase armor penetration or the challenger to reduce total weight.
Potion
A potion can be upgraded by putting it in a brewing stand to unlock new effects. The upgrade unlocks a new level of potion effects, and can be repeated to unlock more potency levels.
The potion also gets an individual color code, which the player can choose using /give and which alters the area-of-effect clouds and arrows produced by the potions. In Bedrock Edition the custom potion colour also applies to the particle effects of the potions.
The water bottle, common and thick potions, as well as awkward potions now have a different brewing texture. Add potion of weakness and healing potion in the Creative inventory. Added lingering potions that can be made with dragon breath or splash potions and a thick pot with the status effect Mining Fatigue (duration 4 hours). Problems related to this update are maintained on the Bug Tracker.
Trinket
A trinket is an inexpensive, small ornament or piece of jewelry. It could be a ring, necklace, or even a small flag that is used to mark a boat's yard that is lateen. It could also refer to a gilded trinket that is attached to the mast of a vessel.
This macabre trinket appears to be influencing denizens in this maze by making them more prevalent. This trinket, at present, makes all types Xx of replicas more popular and gives every floor an Y% chance that it will contain an ebony-colored replica. Upgrades to this trinket require a moderate amount energy.
The magic from this enchanted scepter appears to affect the dungeon itself and making it more likely to produce grass and water. At the moment, this trinket can make X% of the floors become filled with grass or water, but it doesn't affect enchantments, the glyphs, cursed weapons, armor, or items that are created to help solve hazard rooms.
Although it appears to be the normal eye of a newt this mysterious item appears to affect your vision in ways that go beyond just reducing your field view. At the moment, this trinket can increase the total health of the drinkers of healing, waterskins, and wells of health by X%. It also grants eyesight on enemies within Y tiles. This does not stack with the Heightened Senses.
After completing the Mastery Cave, you can find Trinkets by defeating Monsters and inside chests and crates within Skull Cavern. They are not in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.
When you have a trinket which requires upgrading put it in the Anvil to upgrade it. This will have an effect on the trinket that will either enhance or intensify its effects. You can reorge an
item upgrader mod as many times as you like, but it will always have an effect that is different from the one you had when you made it.
You can also enhance your Trinkets by placing them in a magical catalyst at the Alchemy Station. This will cost 6 energy, but increase the trinkets power by a tiny amount.
