Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Item Upgrade Guide
The feature of upgrading items allows players to increase the level of their weapon, armor and trinkets' level and get additional bonuses. They also provide a number of cosmetic effects.
Upgrades can increase the value of most items, but there are exceptions. A perfectly rolled eth Titan can be worth up to 20x more than its un-upgraded counterpart.
Rerolling
Rerolling allows players to swap out a weapon or armor upgrade for one with different stats. This can be a useful method to maximize the value of an item since the reroll option does not alter the level of the item or additional bonuses. To roll an upgrade again, click on the box icon and then select the "Reroll" option. The new upgrade will be random, and the original's extra bonuses will not be restored.
Rerolling is a popular feature in many gacha games, including Genshin Impact. It involves creating a new account and trying again until the player gets the character or weapon they want. This process can be costly and time-consuming, but it can provide the player with an advantage in the game.
Before rolling an upgrade, there are certain things to keep in mind: first it won't alter sockets or any other properties like Resistances and ED. This can be a hassle particularly for players who have put in lots of time and effort into their current weapons and armour. This also won't increase the attack range of base weapons. It will only increase the reroll value, but this does not make it any stronger than the initial upgrade.
Each upgrade comes equipped with a set bonus statistics which are applied to the unit the first time the upgraded item is used. These bonuses can give players an advantage in the game. The bonus statistics are determined by the rarity of the item and they may apply an unintentional boost to certain characteristics.
Item upgrades are enchantments that may be added to certain weapons and armors to boost their effectiveness. There are many different categories of

They are able to be found or salvaged by salvaging equipment or looting vendors. The two major categories of upgrades are universal upgrades and gems. Universal upgrades can be added to any equipment type while gems are only able to be used on trinkets.
Most upgrade components are found in crafting stations, karma vendors or as drops from other characters in the game. They can also be obtained through completing specific missions, like the Vision of Hope mission. Infusions can be created by using the Enchantment Station or salvaged from equipment that is ascended by using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or the Ascended Salvage tool.
