WoW
Item UpgradesItem upgrades--more commonly known as "upping"--are enchantments and items that can be incorporated into weapons and armor pieces to boost their power. These upgrades can increase the gauge of an item by a specified amount of points. Their costs scale according to their rarity.
The melee PvP scene highly values a perfectly rolled version of the armor for its ability to minimize weapon damage.
Type-restricted upgrades
Upgrades are an essential part of the equipment crafting process. They can enhance an item's stats, make it stronger or weaker, and even give it an additional benefit. They can also alter the appearance of an item. Certain upgrades are universal, while others have specific rules for armor and weapons. Using the wrong type of upgrade can destroy a excellent weapon, and could even cause it to become useless.
In general, you can only upgrade the equipment you have to the level of its highest-level counterpart. This means that you are able to upgrade helms, body armors, shields and gloves to the same level as their top-of-the-line counterparts. Weapons however can be upgraded to the level of a sword. However, this doesn't boost the weapon's damage output, but could decrease its value in trade.
You can upgrade an item using crests or flightstones. The amount you pay for each depends on the item's level and slot. Upgrades to swords, for instance, will cost more flightstones compared to an upgrade of a cloth. Also, you can get discounts on the number flightstones or crests required to upgrade an item.
The upgrade of an item will fill up its diamond-shaped indicator. Each step increases the item's Tier by one-third. The maximum Tier level is Tier 3. Based on the item it could require a different amount of upgrades to reach this point. It is important to remember that any process that can mount a disk should not be performed while upgrading. Also, you must ensure that the disk you are upgrading is not being used as an system drive.
Enchantment allows you to change white or Common items to blue or rare ones. It is possible to do this at Eleanor's enchantment shop located in the Capital District. This method does not add gem or rune slots to the equipment however it does alter the size of the equipment. It increases the size of the equipment by the size two categories smaller. For example an example, an armored Stormtrooper armor is Medium and the Blaster Pistol Small.
Universal upgrades
Universal upgrades are upgrades that can be made on any type of equipment. This includes weapons and armor. Upgrade components can be obtained from Side Quests or random drops. Universal upgrades are either temporary or permanent and they may overlap with Power-Ups. They can be linear or branching.
The Universal Upgrade begins when "internal technologies" can give sentient animals new capabilities that could not develop naturally. Implants and prostheses are examples of internal technology. This type of upgrade differs from medical internal technology that seeks to restore natural capabilities. It is the beginning of an era that will change civilizations fundamentally. The universal upgrade is an extended and complicated process. However the process can be divided into two distinct types: full success and partial failure.
This is similar to the manner that resort upgrades are carried out at Disney or Universal. In the case of WDW it is typically due to operational requirements like room availability or overbooking. In the case of Universal, this could be to transfer guests from one resort to another one that is open. This is not meant to be rude, but it can be inevitable in the present climate.
Contrary to Runes, Sigils and Jewels that can only be applied to specific types of equipment (armor trinkets, weapons, or) universal upgrades can be applied to any type of gear. They can also be applied to a variety of items at once. This makes them more adaptable than other types of upgrades. This flexibility can be problematic when upgrading items along the same gear route. It can raise the levels of each of the pieces along the path.
Before you upgrade, it is important to shut down PowerShell Universal and delete any existing application files. After that you can install the new files by using the Get-ChildItem -Recurse or Unblock-File commands. It is also recommended to perform a basic validation against your PSU server to ensure that it works correctly.
Jewels
Jewels are enhancements that can be put into weapons, armor and accessories. They offer varying stat bonuses and other effects depending on the gem and reagent used to create them. They can be found in Golden Chests and Rift Incursions. They can be purchased from a master craftsman for gold or Karma. Jewels can be crafted using a table for jewelry using five of the same type of reagent and 1 gem to make a jewel with either a higher or lower level. This process is similar to upgrading a stone an instrument for gem crafting.
Jewel tiers are based on the amount of modifiers they have which means that higher-tier jewels have more modifiers than lower-tier ones. The primary effect of a jewel is determined by the tier it is, while the secondary effect is randomized and players can make use of luck potions to increase the chance of having better secondary effects.
Jewels can be incorporated into items with matching sockets similar to other upgrade components. A Garnet Jewel and a Garnet Stone both boost strength but a Garnet Jewel also boosts a player's strength when attacking. Jewels can be placed in all tiers of armor, weapon and accessory slots, and certain trinkets that are lesser rarity or exotic that require a slot that is not used.
Gems are a DM-specific mechanism that can help make items feel special to their owners. Through offering a variety of upgrade options gems let players alter their equipment to find the combination that best suits their needs. They can upgrade their gear by purchasing new gems if they feel that the initial set is no longer the best.
Requirements
WoW's
item upgrades allow players to level up the levels of their weapons, set pieces of equipment and trinkets beyond their current item level from specific Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor sources. These upgrades increase item stats and some also have special effects. (For instance Dolphin's grace gives swimmers the same grace as dolphins). Players can obtain these upgrades at any upgrader NPC or by rescuing them from items that contain them, with different types of items dropping various upgrade components.
The process of upgrading may be a bit complicated however, it's a simple process. The player chooses the item he wishes to upgrade and then clicks the Upgrade button. A window will pop up with the different upgrades available for the
item upgrader kit. The window will display the upgrade level, any type of upgrade bonus (such as Tech Points or Quality Chance) as well as the cost of the upgrade. The bonus type for upgrades will be shown below the bar that displays the upgrade level.
If a player chooses to upgrade the item, the item will be delivered to the NPC who is upgrading, who will explain the procedure for upgrading the item. The player will then have to provide the proper currency for that upgrade, and could be asked to provide additional materials when needed. These requirements are determined by the item's level. Weapons are more stringent when compared to armor.
Many upgrade recipes contain a list of 'Acceptable Material' in addition to the components required. This list includes the other components of an upgrade that can be used to upgrade an item. It also contains an indicator that tells you whether or not it is a guarantee of a boost. It is important to be aware because the value of an upgraded item can differ significantly based on the 'extras' it has, with perfectly roll gear worth more than the non-upgraded versions.
For the types of upgrades that require crests or valorstones, these will be displayed in a separate list below the main list. The crests and valorstones required depend on the item level and weapon upgrades needing the most Valorstones.
