WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.
The upgraded gear typically has a more value in trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for those with higher variance due to the requirement to roll a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enhancements.
The upgrader is located in all major cities, and can be accessed at any time to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended to visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.
Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item, but they will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from another player will cost 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapons, armor, tools, and accessory upgrades. They are purchased by players from item upgrader NPCs in exchange for a variety of currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be used on any weapon or tool using an The button will display the preview of an item's next upgrade level when there are enough materials.
Upgrade costs differ based on the slot of the
item upgrades level Upgrade (
lt.dananxun.cn) and the current level of the item. For example, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Certain upgrades provide a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currency types.
Many locations offer
item level upgrade upgraders, including the main Island and some outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount and the chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased if players complete certain achievements or quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at the beginning, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are only available through a variety means. This is both a positive and a disadvantage.
In Season 3 the upgrade system was altered a bit, with several new features added. Once an upgrade has been completed to a certain item level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same level will cost less. This is true even if those items come from an entirely different set of gear.
The discount is applicable to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players achieve certain achievement milestones.
Crests
When it comes to upgrading equipment in WoW, players have a couple of options. Flightstones are an item that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more special and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system that was introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that the crests can only be purchased for gear that is of a particular rank. Each rank has a different upgrade path. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade is 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade requires up to 20 crests, contingent on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by finishing tasks at the appropriate level. This could mean engaging in outdoor activities or completing dungeons and raids in all difficulties to get lower-level gear or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons that have a high difficulty to obtain endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an upgrader, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken to
upgrade item the item in the proper steps and pathways.
The new currency system isn't complicated to use, but it brings some changes to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it no longer requires Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to get their equipment to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.
It's also important to use crests with care, since they have only one purpose. For instance it's a good idea utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the top equipment available and save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you plan to make. This is especially true for items like trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character which will only be able to take advantage of the discount for all accounts when all slots are full of high-quality equipment.
