Diablo 4 Item Upgrades

Item upgrades allow players to increase the item level of equippable items like weapons, armor, and trinkets above a certain threshold. You can upgrade items at any NPC that accepts the appropriate currency.

Upgrade components are slotted into equipment to offer bonus effects and attribute bonuses. Most of these upgrades are slot-restricted, but a few are universal.

Rerolling

In Diablo 4, a player can reroll a item upgrade. This is done via the Level Up mechanic, which pauses the game and displays the list of four randomly chosen upgrades. The player can select one of the upgrades to continue the fight. Rerolling costs the same as an ordinary Level Up. Players should be cautious to choose the right upgrade, since they won't be aware of the new stats until the item has been rerolled.

The upgrade level of an item is determined by the item's rank and rarity. Each level of an item level upgrade's upgrades increases its power base by +1. An alternative solution is to create an application that will check the upgrade requirements of an item before allowing it to be upgraded. Ask your guild members to give their opinion when you aren't sure whether an upgrade is worthwhile. You might be able to get better upgrades for less cost.
