Saab Key Programming

Jumpstarting the battery
Most people keep an assortment of tools in their trunks to jump-start a car in case of emergency, but it might not be the best idea for vehicles that are newer. These vehicles have many computers and digital devices that communicate with each other. A voltage surge when batteries are connected to another one could cause damage to the parts and render your vehicle unusable.
Connect the cables to the vehicle operating. Allow it to run for two minutes. Attach the red clip to the positive terminal on the battery that is good (it will have "POS" or "+" on it). Attach the other end to a clear, unpainted metal surface underneath the hood of your disabled car. The engine block is a great option. The black cable is not to be connected to the negative terminal of the dead battery. This could cause a spark, which would ignite the gasoline in the engine compartment.
