Best Twin Stroller For Newborns
If you're expecting twins or two kids close in age the double stroller is essential. The best double strollers offer different ways to ride your children including side by side seating and an attachment for a board.
Lauren Ro, a writer and strategist, has a favorite is the Bugaboo Donkey 5 Mono, that is a perfect fit as your family expands. It can accommodate two infant car seats and a toddler seat. This makes it an excellent option for twins.
Bugaboo Donkey
This is the best twin stroller for families that need a stylish,
pushchair double side-byside stroller. It's a bit bulkier than the other Bugaboo models however, it is sturdy and built to last. It has a handlebar which can be adjusted to extend and retract easily. It has a decent reach so that my husband, who is 6'1" is able to easily push it, even when fully laden.
Seats are spacious, and can be set up in a way that one child is behind another or so that children are facing each other. The seats can recline independently from each other. The canopies cover both seat fabrics If you want. They don't have much ventilation and can appear like an oven on hot days. They also don't have a peek-aboo window that allows children to peek in.
One of the most unique aspects of this stroller is its ability to adapt to your family's needs from the single seat (Mono mode) all the way to a double side-by-side stroller. This is the only convertible double stroller that can do this! It can be used with baby bassinets or a car seat.
It is easy to navigate on smooth surfaces and is able to handle steps and slopes well. The only issue is that it can be difficult to navigate in crowded shops and restaurants. It can also be difficult to fold, particularly when the seats are attached. It's still
compact double stroller and can be accessed through the majority of doors.
There is an additional storage bin that is attached to the frame next to the front seat in mono mode. This is great for groceries and other supplies. The main storage basket underneath the seats is huge and can hold up to 100 lbs. This is more than any stroller on our list!
Uppababy Vista v2
This is one of the
Best double stroller twin strollers designed for new newborns. It can be used right from the box as a
double buggy newborn stroller and is compatible with many infant car seats and bassets. It can even accommodate two infant car seats or bassets simultaneously if you purchase the Vista Upper and Lower adapters.
Compared to the original Vista, the V2 has added a few enhancements to make it better. The toddler seat is about an inch taller, the footrest has more space, and the canopy has a zip-out fabric extender that adds extra coverage. Also, the harness has been modernized - it doesn't require replaced, making it easier to adjust.
The stroller is equipped with big wheels (8" in front and 11.5" in back) and a robust suspension system, which lets it navigate any terrain. The wheels made of rubber on the front are great for navigating gravel and rocks, while the tread on the rear wheels is more suitable for sidewalks and grassy hills.
Another excellent feature is the ability to attach a child's bike to the front of the stroller, which is an ideal option for parents who aren't keen on using an infant car seat or Rumbleseat. If you have a child who's old enough to stand, the Vista stroller can accommodate an additional child using its piggyback board accessory.
Vista Vista is easy to use and install. However, it takes some time to take off all the protective packaging. The instructions are easy to follow, and there's also an YouTube video if you need more help.

The Thule Urban Glide 3 is the latest version of the popular stroller that is designed to appeal to modern families who value style, sustainability and adventure. It features exciting upgrades with a built-in knee rest and a reclined seat that offers unbeatable comfort for children during long walks and jogs. Its sleek and agile design is also upgraded to improve its mobility.
It's incredibly lightweight, making it a breeze to push and swift to accelerate once you're on the road. Its suspension can take on sudden changes in the surface (such as pavement to grass) and the oversized tires are able to withstand any terrain. It can climb kerbs without difficulty and can turn in tight spaces like city streets with ease. Even narrow sidewalks and crowded park are no problem for it.
The new Urban Glide 3 is a superior jogger that gives parents an abundance of comfort and convenience. The huge canopy offers great sun protection, has an easy peekaboo feature and a top-quality harness system, and an integrated handbrake that is precisely tuned. It has plenty of storage space, including pockets on the seat as well as a huge cargo bag that can hold up to 15 pounds.
This Thule Jogger also has bassinets, ideal for babies who need to stroll, and a double model to accommodate two children. It comes with car seat adapters, meaning that you can use the infant carrier of your child. It also has an easy-folding system that can be folded with one hand to make it easier to transport or store. Cortina Together
Cortina Together is designed for families that are growing and provides parents with various seating options to accommodate the needs and preferences of each child. The two stroller seats of the double stroller feature reclining backrests, and canopies that are separate. They're also designed to take one of Chicco's #1-rated KeyFit or KeyFit 30 infant car seats in the front and rear seat (car seat sold separately) with the exclusive click-in attachment without the need for add-on bars and straps, like other models that require.
A large, zipper-accessible basket at the rear provides ample storage for gear. The handle is padded to allow for dad or mom. The tandem double stroller's suspension and wheels provide a smooth ride over any terrain, and the one-touch linked rear brakes with toe-tap activation make stopping easy.
In our Strollers & Multiples lab tests, Cortina Together scored well for ease of use. This is based on the ease with which it is to fold and set up the stroller. It also includes the ease with which it is to open and close the snack tray and engage and disengage the brakes, lift the stroller when folded and then carry it like the trunk of a car.
We did find some drawbacks to this model, though. First, it's heavy. It weighs in at 36.6 pounds when fully loaded and is closer to the extreme side of our metric than the average for this category of strollers. It also has a limited view when a car seat is mounted in the back. The front tray release isn't always easy to use, especially after prolonged usage. Even with these limitations, we believe this is a fantastic double stroller that will be able to keep up with your family for many years to come.
Jeep Double Stroller
The Jeep Destination Ultralight Side x Side Double Stroller is an affordable, lightweight stroller ideal for families with two kids. Its lock wheels on the front allow for easy maneuvering on flat surfaces, and lock to provide stability on bumpy surfaces. It has an umbrella that folds compactly and can be closed in seconds. It is also able to stand upright, making transporting it simpler. Its aluminum frame is lightweight, and its foam handle and carrying strap makes it one of the most easy double strollers to lift during our tests.
This stroller has independently reclining seats for maximum comfort. Its canopy is large and offers UPF 50 protection and includes a peekaboo view to make it easy for monitoring. We would prefer to have the canopy vented to allow more airflow. We also didn't love the fact that the cup holder is very high on the frame, meaning you'll have to bend down to access it.
In our tipping test, the Jeep fell over with only 39 degrees of angle which is higher than average for a
pushchair double stroller. It's a bit heavier, but offers more storage for the price. The handles and seats are also well-padded.
This stroller can be used in three modes that include wagon (just for stuff), Jogger (with two 5-point safety harnesses for children) and car seat mode. It can be used with one car seat for infants, however, pediatricians recommend waiting until your child is six months old before running with them and 1 year old before letting them go on rough terrain. It's black and has a limited lifetime warranty. Jenni Gritters has been a parenting and outdoor journalist for over 10 years.
