A compact double umbrella stroller is a popular option for families traveling. A few other lightweight options such as the Joovy Kooper X2, have more bells and whistles you might expect from a double umbrella stroller, including a more comfortable ride for both children thanks to padded seating and a deeper recline in each seat. It's important to keep in mind that the more features you pick the more the stroller weighs. It is also important to be careful that your child doesn't get their fingers on the hinges or frames of these strollers because of the way they open and close.

There are two types of double umbrellas that are lightweight one of which is one with few features and those with a variety of comfort and convenience options in addition to their tiny size. Some of the most effective examples include nice-sized pop-out canopies with SPF 50 and peekaboo windows and padding seats, 5-point safety harnesses in both seats, reclining seats, and adjustable leg rests. You should also think about whether you'd like a car seat attachment or a tray for the parent and the amount of storage space available in each seat.

nipper double buggy Umbrella is an excellent example of a basic minimal, simple option that is extremely lightweight and very affordable. This stroller is only 18 pounds, comes with a handy carrying strap, and can be easily put in the trunk of your car or in the front closet of your home. The front wheels are high-tech and can swivel to give you more comfort and ease of steering. The model was off the market for a couple of years but is now returning to production and is worth checking out. It also comes with a larger three-panel canopy that offers better sun protection than the less-than-perfect models in this review.
Easy to Fold
The most basic umbrella strollers fold down like an umbrella and weigh less than other kinds. They are easy to lift, carry and store and are ideal those times when you aren't able to carry your full-size pram for whatever reason (traveling by plane, touring in a foreign country, or visiting grandma). They often aren't as well-equipped as a full-featured stroller, but they should have the basic features you require like storage and a sun canopy.

The majority of double umbrella strollers we recommend are side-by-side models. The Kinderwagon Hop is an umbrella tandem stroller that is super lightweight and easy to fold. It is also very narrow. This is a great option for those looking for a simple budget
double buggy that converts to single umbrella stroller that you can easily put in your trunk for quick trips. It comes with two hanging storage bag on the back of each seat, as well as parent cupholders. It's so basic, it might not get your kids through an airport without getting them cranky, but it can make the journey more comfortable.
Comfortable Seats
The majority of umbrella strollers don't come with many bells and whistles since they're made to perform one task: take two children from point A to B. That means they usually offer seats that are comfortable and roomy, but don't have reclining options or wheels that are all-terrain.
The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 stands out. It is a compact and lightweight double umbrella stroller with two seats weighing only 18 lbs. This makes it a fantastic option for those who travel. It has a great suspension, a large three-panel canopy that is able to shield children from the sun and plenty of storage space in both seats, although not quite as much as our top choices. It has five-point safety belts in both seats, and a peek-a-boo window in the canopy.
The G-Link does not have the bellybar or snack tray we'd love see on our top choices. But these features aren't essential for an umbrella stroller. Like all umbrella strollers, it must be handled with care to avoid fingers getting stuck in hinges and mechanisms.
The seats in a double umbrella stroller are usually side by side however, there are a few models that are inline (one seat behind the other). Inline models are simpler to maneuver through doorways than models that are side by side, but their seating arrangements could cause your kids to argue over which is the best seat. Our previous test subjects were equally divided on this issue, so it's really an individual choice.

Some models are close to offering the same level of security as the full-sized double strollers. They are also usually narrower and lighter than other double umbrella strollers, making them easier to maneuver through tight spaces like airports or city streets.
Certain models, like the Kinderwagon Hop, are side-by-sides and are particularly easy to maneuver through tight spaces. This stroller is a great choice for parents who are traveling with children and need a fast and convenient way to get around.
